UX Research & Early Adopter Discovery
WONDR is a community platform helping people capture information and take action on their goals.
The co-founders needed to understand their users before their next development stage, specifically how to support three core needs: collecting knowledge, building connections, and overcoming mindset barriers.
WONDR has since evolved into a mastermind programme for ESG and sustainability professionals. The early research informed the platform's focus on connecting users with the right expertise and community
What I did
I identified and recruited potential early adopters for user interviews, focusing on people actively exploring personal or professional growth. I reviewed the platform from a behavioural perspective looking at onboarding, terminology, and how subtle features could guide users toward meaningful action. I also profiled potential expert contributors who could add value to the community.
What I found
Not all users were ready to act independently. Many needed connection to experts and advisors to take the next step which was something the platform wasn't yet providing. Through interviews I identified a coach whose services aligned directly with WONDR's user needs, and whose audience represented a potential growth channel for the platform.
Outcome
I connected WONDR with a coach who became a collaborator, helping bridge the gap between the platform's community and a wider audience. This directly informed thinking around expert referrals and community growth as a development priority.
"Siobhan helped us with a research project that could be used to shape UX decisions for our users. Siobhan showcased enthusiasm and passion from start to finish. It's been a pleasure."
